MELBEK Indications

Treatment of diseases associated with pain: osteoarthritis, osteoarthritis, degenerative joint disease, rheumatoid arthritis, ancylosing spondylitis.

Dosage & Administration

Adults. Melbek used 1 times a day, drinking a small amount of liquid.
If osteoarthritis: 5 mg / day; if necessary, the dose can be increased to 15 mg / day.
If rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and 15 1 mg once a day; depending on the dose of the therapeutic effect can be reduced to 7.5 mg 1 time per day.
Patients with a high risk of side effects and the patients who are on dialysis, treatment should be started at a dose of 7.5 mg 1 time per day.
The maximum daily dose of meloxicam for adults is 15 mg.
The duration of treatment is determined individually.

Contradictions

Hypersensitivity to meloxicam and other NSAIDs, peptic or duodenal ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe hepatic and renal failure; age under 12 years;

During pregnancy and breastfeeding.
