Picolax Sodium picosulfate 5mg 10 tabs

Indications

Constipation or conditions requiring relief of defecation.

Contradictions

Intestinal obstruction.

Acute inflammatory bowel diseases and acute diseases of the abdominal cavity (including acute appendicitis, ulcerative colitis, peritonitis).

Acute abdominal pain, accompanied by nausea and vomiting, which may indicate acute inflammatory diseases, mentioned above.

Severe dehydration.

Hypersensitivity to sodium picosulphate and other components of the drug.

After operation on GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT.

Dosage & Administration

Assign inside, preferably at night.

Adults and children over the age of 10 years are prescribed 5-10 mg once a day. In severe and persistent constipation, adults are recommended to take 15 mg once.

Children aged 4-10 years – 2.5-5 mg once a day.
For children, a single dose of the drug is effective.

If necessary, the course of treatment in the child may be extended, but preferably limited to 3 days.

Duration of treatment is set individually and usually should not exceed 10 days.
