Postinor Levonorgestrel 0.75mg 2 tablets

Postinor Composition:
active ingredient: levonorgestrel;

1 tablet contains 0.75 mg of levonorgestrel;

excipients: colloidal silicon dioxide, potato starch, magnesium stearate, talc, corn starch, lactose.

Pharmacotherapeutic group:
Hormonal contraceptives for systemic use. emergency contraceptives. Levonorgestrel. ATX code G03A D01.

Indications:
Emergency contraception within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse or if the contraceptive method used was unreliable.

Dosage and administration:
It is necessary to apply two tablets.

Both tablets must be taken together as soon as possible, preferably within 12 hours and no later than 72 hours after unprotected intercourse (see section “Pharmacological properties”).

If vomiting occurs within 3 hours after taking the tablets, another 2 tablets should be taken immediately.

Postinor can be used in any phase of the menstrual cycle in the absence of a delay in menstrual bleeding.

After using emergency contraception, it is recommended to use a local barrier method (eg, condoms, membranes, spermicide, cervical cap) until the next menstrual period. The use of Postinor is not a contraindication for the continuation of regular hormonal contraception.
