Arrhythmias: paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia; flutter / atrial fibrillation with rapid atrioventricular conduction (except syndrome Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome (WPW).

Blink / atrial flutter and simultaneous presence of WPW syndrome (increased risk of provoking ventricular tachycardia).
During treatment with verapamil are not used simultaneously by intravenous β-blockers (except for intensive care).
Dosage & Administration
Doses are prescribed individually for each patient. The drug should be taken not dissolving and without chewing with sufficient fluid (eg 1 glass of water, in any case, grapefruit juice), it is best during or immediately after a meal.
Adults and adolescents weighing more than 50 kg:
Coronary heart disease, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, atrial flutter / atrial fibrillation.
The recommended daily dose is 120-480 mg, divided into 3-4 receptions. The maximum daily dose – 480 mg.
The recommended daily dose is 120-360 mg, divided into 3 doses.
Children of preschool age up to 6 years, only in the cardiac arrhythmias: The recommended dosage is in the range of 80-120 mg per day, divided into 2-3 single doses.
Children 6-14 years only with cardiac arrhythmias: The recommended dosage is in the range 80-360 mg per day divided into 2-4 single doses.
Violations of the liver.
In patients with impaired liver function, depending on the severity, the action of verapamil hydrochloride extended and amplified due to slow drug dissolution. Therefore, in such cases, the dosage should be installed with special care, and starting with a low dose (for example, for patients with impaired hepatic function initially 2-3 times daily 40 mg, respectively of 80-120 mg per day).
If necessary, use a dose of 40 mg drug is used in the appropriate dosage.
Do not take the drug lying down.
Verapamil hydrochloride can not be used in patients with myocardial infarction within 7 days after the event.
